Medline CIV Missing Lines
Medline CIV missing Lines
ISSUE: Staff opened ticket for missing lines from a previously processed Medline CIV file

CAUSE: Previous mapping by chain.io split CIV file in error, causing only the latest XML to be uploaded into CW while overwriting any secondary XML files that processed.
HANDLED BY: EDI Support Team
SUPPORT PROCESS Summary: Download original CSV and delete all lines other than the CIV in question. Save as modified CSV file and manually upload into chain.io flow to process and upload into CW correctly. Respond to ticket requestor advising them to detach current CIV and re-attach latest CIV. Make sure to upload the CIV into the correct chain.io flow, depending on what company environment it’s needed in (MAS) or (ILL).
DETAILED STEPS:
- Locate the applicable CIV CSV file by searching the chain.io portal flow ‘Receive Medline CIV (OLD) (DISABLED)’ by the invoice number (if the invoice number was not listed in the support ticket, as the requestor for the invoice number). View the record.

2. Download the CSV file and open in Notepad++ (DO NOT open in EXCEL)

3. Find all lines of the CIV needing to be re-loaded into CW and delete all other lines from the file (other than the first row containing header details). Save the file as a ‘modified’ version.

4. From the chain.io portal Medline settings for flow ‘Receive Medline CIV for Splitting (MAS)’ or (ILL), click ‘upload’ and choose the modified file to upload into CW.

5. Verify the file processed successfully in the chain.io portal flow ‘Receive Medline CIV (MAS)’ or (ILL)

6. Reply to the ticket requestor to detach existing CIV and re-attach newly created one

7. Close the ticket after assigning yourself and adding tag ‘Medline CIV’
