Medline CIV Failures Support Process
Chain.io Flow: logical_fail - Receive Medline CIV (ILL)
ISSUE: Error notification from Chain.IO Map that a Medline CIV message has failed to upload to CW
CAUSE: Examine Chain.IO flow log (linked in message) to find failure reason(s); Generally, there is a missing required field from Medline’s CSV file
HANDLED BY: EDI Support Team
SUPPORT PROCESS Summary: Determine which required fields the CIV that failed is missing by reviewing the process Log within the related chain.io Flow. Send email to ProductTariffClassifications@medline.com , with Barbara Chronopoulos, Sarah Warrington and Meredith Franklin in copy, (bcc: to Debbie Strojan for documentation purposes) advising the Invoice Numbers that failed and their missing required data. Those persons should get with Medline to review missing data, and Medline should send in an updated CSV with proper data.
NOTE: As of Jan 6, 2025 CIV files are processed only into the ILL CW environment.
DETAILED STEPS:
- Click Link in ticket to review Log and determine which required fields were missing, preventing the Commercial Invoice from being uploaded into CW.

We have processed today’s CIV (12/20) and the below invoices were rejected due to the reasons shown:
- 6000014-2412-032 – missing Part_Description
- 723125672198847240863724086572 – missing Part_Description, HTS_Dutiable, Country_Of_Origin
- FKS-3130-24 – missing Part_Description, HTS_Dutiable, Country_Of_Origin
